On October 21, 2024, at the Congress Center of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, during the VERGOconnect Scientific Conference, Joanna Koziollek delivered a lecture on the housing problems of students and graduates of Polish universities and the concept of a new housing support program initiated by the VERGOcity Association. Joanna Koziollek also had the pleasure of co-organizing this event as a Member of the Scientific Council of the VERGOcity Association and a Member of the Scientific Council of the VERGOconnect Conference.
The VERGOconnect Scientific Conference for Sustainable Development and Improving the Quality of Life in Wrocław was organized under the Honorary Patronage of the Mayor of Wrocław by the VERGOcity Association for Sustainable Development, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. The event was devoted to three key issues for the city: infrastructure, housing policy, and waste management.
The VERGOconnect Conference aims to create a platform for discussion, exchange of views, and presentation of practical solutions to improve the quality of life of residents and support the sustainable development of the Wrocław agglomeration. Thanks to lectures, discussion panels and thematic sessions, participants had the opportunity to explore issues related to urban, ecological and social challenges facing the city.
We hope that the VERGOconnect Conference will become a permanent fixture in the calendar of important events for the city of Wrocław.
